Sheltering tonnes of emotions,

Harbouring thousands of words unspoken;

Deep down the heart and mind,

Lies a fountain hard to find.

There are unearthed feelings,

That crave for exposure;

There are steep upwellings,

That are hard to bear.

The untold words,

Waiting for expression;

There’s a little bird,

Waiting for a direction.

The terrible thoughts,

Engulfing the mind;

Sometimes I feel I’m lost,

And peace is hard to find.

I am clueless,

Why this empty sheet of paper;

Isn’t a stranger,

It embraces me and gives me solace.
