Smell of Coriander

Smell of coriander, from my hands.

Ahhmm..

Smelling once again.

Chopping the leaves in kitchen,

Now its Rs 10 per bundle.

But this smell.. Ahmmm..

Once again, Closed my eyes,

And i can feel the essence.

That fresh air from the fields,

And those small pathways.

Once I used to visit those greenlands,

In my village.

Sitting in between the coriander and mint herbs so fresh.

Plucking one leave at time, so i don’t hurt the plants.

Butterflies dancing by, and the sun shines a little bright.

The aroma of the herbs , spreading nearby.

Suddendly, the cooker whistled.

And the reality faces around.

No more fields, no more villages around.

I am just cutting my coriander leaves

in a small little kitchen of this town.
