Smaller Room

Ah, it’s a long night; heels down, awaiting swirling surprise,

bustling sweats, rustling fright, juggling intense delight,

chirping and gulping, humping and fondling,

quieter than hush, darker than light, than comes my insight;

Smaller room, larger windows, and gaping infinite,

hiding, hugging, running, and screaming,

two souls, closer than ever, liberating in an confined hay,

and now it seems a mirage disclosed;

With shine comes shadow; hooting hate and cruising in lost space,

barriers of caste, creed and societal shackles; prevailing fate,

my liberty is mine and a shadow cannot overtake,

for loving is not to fear; neither perish nor bear.
