Slum Girl

The starry night

Fleetingly grabbed my sight

I look up that star..

Shining a little bright…

Yeah the slum girl,

Having Feet on the ground..

Perhaps freed or bound…

Like melody of a song..

Learning right by seeing wrong…

Gratitude trickling in her smile…

The smile, made me to pause for a while…

Yes she was trying to fly..

High in the sky..

Covering face with a veil…

She chose a path, else refuse to trail…

Armoured with her thoughts..

Prisoned with some unseen ropes

Watching through the prisms…

Sawing the flurry, with blurry visions…

She was trying to fly…

High in the sky…

Me having no attached strings…

Entreating a higher power to give her wings…

Having a courage to kiss the sun..

With the wings…seems waxy one..

One day, she’ll step on the moon…

Born in slum, she’ll proove it a boon

AND THE DAY WILL COME SOON…

In that sky filled with moonlight

She’ll shine bright..

That day…girl aiming high

Will fly in the sky…
