Skylark

I wanna fly high like a Skylark

Follow the sun till it gets dark

Leave everything behind and fly so far

That one day I might even touch the star

I wanna spread my wings and fly so fast

I wanna forget all about my past

So that I can leave every memory in the dust

Forget about everyone who broke my trust

I wanna fly high in the dark

Race through the woods completing all my tasks

Set sun as my aim

Click the world in one frame

We’re not so lame that

Someone else could defame us

This life is a thing, full of everything other than trust

Trusting your best could name your final rest

So fly high till you’re out of breath

Relying on someone was never an option

Talking about self respect weren’t just for captions

Though you might feel everyone’s sweet-talk as a medication

But trust me it’ll hurt the most when you’ll lose their attention

Life is full of fake people

That we have to face till our soul settles

Ever wondered why you secretly smile looking at the sky?

Cause you too wanna get off the misery and fly

Life isn’t worth to waste being sad

Cause every second person here is bad

Getting hurt by others is also a nature’s law I guess

But I wonder why everyone still gets restless?

This whole life is a big damn lie

Covered with fairy tales that sounds sweet just like a pie

But the reality is full of darkness

And we’re surviving with just our hope's brightness

Faith in others isn’t an option for people like me nowadays

Cause no matter how hard I try nobody stays

Finding right people isn’t just my of tea

And actually it’s better for me to flee in the sky

So instead of finding happiness in others…

Why don’t we just spread our feathers?

And fly so damn high

That this huge world will look ant sized

So I wanna fly high like a Skylark

Follow the sun till it gets dark

Leave everything behind and fly so far

That one day I might even touch the star
