Silence - A Scream

That burnt down my skin,

Under the flesh,

Stared at the roof.

That gleaming tear drop falling into my ears.

Silence.

That fell after the escape.

Into the darkness of secrecy.

Kindness was not the word.

But kindness it is,

To hold a breaking soul.

And to break it more.

Silence.

Is a scream?

Where the light does not travel.

Soundless pathways with no more mercy.

That fell after the escape.

A burning silence.
