Silence

Once I befriended silence

She accompanied me on long lonely walks

I listened to myself when I spoke to her

We spent lovely moonlit nights together

It was a mystery why she liked me

I liked her because she made me meet myself

Once she accompanied me on crowded streets

But I could only hear harrowing squabbles

She was long gone when needed the most

I found her on a dark night while returning home

She was shot with a deafening bullet

I could not let her go

I sought help from someone just passing by

He looked indifferent and walked away

I kept trying till she was gone forever

The world is same no more

The life is same no more

I'm now in search of peace! Will I find her?
