I am fed up explaining

Silence is engulfing

Feeling more serene in this void

Amidst the chaos, silence is my escape

Accusing gazes are thrown upon me

Like stones over a glass

Breaking me into pieces

Don’t know what I did for these ghastly wounds

Never did they think about the other

Never did they speak about the other

After all, for them, I was the other

Feeling like a stranger among my own

Fed up explaining because it doesn’t matter

All my words are nullified

They’ve pre-decided that it is I who to blame

So why care about explaining

Silence is engulfing
