She and The Sunset

There she sat, gazing towards the horizon to catch a glimpse of the setting sun,

And here I am, watching her lips curve and eyes drip,

Like a melancholic song easing my pain by feeding me more of it.

She did not sob for once, but her smile is constant,

The progeny of her sadness cling to my thoughts taking me away with her disconcert.

I have known her for long now, an hour long,

Maybe the sea calls her out, promising to take away her grief.

But her smile adorns her strength.

Against the temptation to comfort her,

I should let her be for this is the moment she would help herself,

And, with the sun her darkness will fade away.
