Shades

Sparkling with shades of crimson and white, Enough to prepare me for a fight,

Or throw courage to do what is right,

Sweet and bitter teasing my tongue all night, Hot and cold testing my heart so bright,

Insensitive to the stream of thoughts that I might, Inconsiderate to the anxiety that rode up like a knight, Showers me with a moment of happiness so blight, Followed by grey clouds that may change the plight, Shedding ample crumbs of dazed hope to excite, And abundant passion to keep me in your sight.
