Self Pity to Self Love

Oh, what a shift, what a reminder life has offered me, I was living a life of self-pity And I could not see..

The core of wanting to validate my feelings, The tears and sorrows that never led to healing, The blame, the guilt, the outrage of emotions, The fear of failure and all kind of commotion…

The anger in me was the primary reason, For the failure to external factor in life’s every season, The resistance to self, the resistance to fall, Though learnt it very late, it’s the ‘acceptance’ that’s all…

We don’t look for solutions, nor counselors do we hire, There is a comfort zone midst, just like the mud of mire, The sympathy we gain, gives us what we need, The sympathy we gain, for attention we plead...

Then came an ‘Angel’ who flew towards me, Asked if this is self-love, what does it give you thee, He made me flow in, with all his act of shove, Self-pity brings mere sympathy but not true love...

Avoid self-criticism, avoid all blame, Learn to love yourself, decode life’s game, Process your emotions, and just let it be, Keep a realistic outlook ,feel- what life has to see…

Give yourself smaller goals, do things that make you happy, Turn yourself within and stop being sappy, Trust taking decision, tune in your radio on, Stop being a victim, begin like a baby corn ...

Know are capable, tap into your inner peace, It has all the power to empower you, it naturally heals, Tap in to the soul, tune in to the higher help, Bless yourself , become the version of your higher self, Bless yourself , become the version of your higher self.
