shining bright in the clear night

flickering like a newly-wed bride

she holds her pride high

even when illuminated by the sun’s light

she sways her enchanting being

along with thousand craters to cherish

a gentle companion, yes she is

a reminder of happiness and misery she portrays as her soul phases

moon, oh moon

her glow like a love song in vespertine

ethereal, quintessential, ephemeral

as her essence captures stories sung and unsung
