Seeker
By Dr. Santosh Biswal
In a quest to seek my identity
I gaze into the mirror
Mired in the visceral vomits of X-Ray and CT Scan
And images filtered from Instagram
My body a heap of battered soil
I gathered in pensive time frame
That grew feeding nutrients
From soil and other life
I indeed look like my father
Who definitely look like his grandmother
A borrowed, mangled predetermined genome
Surviving and transferring traits
Am I an immaculate slave to mere mind
Bundled and caged by innumerous distracts
Mind is monkeying senses
Monkeying mind mindfully monkeyed
Life as water flows
From clouds to ocean
Changing state and taste
In a cycle trapped in time
I twist my spine to break the cycle
Aim to achieve that consciousness
Towering as precipitous mountain
To stall clouds of thoughts
Which precipitate as sweat
Wisdom as saline as last drop of ocean
That refracts sun of truth
To cast a rainbow in canvas of time
For bird of life to perch
And sing a melody intense
To knife the cry of suffering
And drench the cosmos
In magnanimous bliss
And quintessential unbridled ecstasy
I am a droplet of consciousness
That shall seek to grow
Engulf and assimilate
The entire cosmos
To be one with it
