Secret
By Kritvi Gera
Act I
Will you keep a secret for me?
Distant from all those ears,
From all those peers,
Away from those incompetent weasels who cannot even hear!
The secrets are no ordinary,
Might topple your life,
Consider it my final warning,
Before you hone the double edged knife,
‘It’s luxurious, sweet and beautiful’
Told I, swirling around his petite figure,
Leaning on his shoulder and whispering in his ear.
‘Just what you have always craved for’
I smiled,
The biggest I could give him.
‘You are different’, said I.
‘You don’t judge, and that’s what I love.’
He looked back, quite blank,
As he fought an internal battle.
Eyes closed,
A tear escaped.
For he just lost the war ahead.
The eyes now fondly smile,
Pushing the identical ring down his finger
He gave in.
Well how could he resist?
In the end, temptation is what I am.
Act II
How breathtaking she is!
Bright and colourful,
A goddess indeed .
Though I always knew
It was too good to be true,
I still came along
To read the poem named her.
I followed all along
And now I was offered,
What I have always craved.
Luxurious, sweet and beautiful secrets that beheld.
I knew it was all wrong
And she too warned me.
Yes, she warmed me.
It was too warm to resist,
As I walked down,
Down the lane of her heart
Slowly my cover fell apart.
But who can say no to the sugar coated dream?
She leaned on my shoulder and gave me the prettiest smile.
My brain fought a battle and lost.
I jumped in to figure her out
