When I'm beside you, I notice your hands,

How you keep fumbling with them, I notice how sometimes,

You tolerate me, Just barely.

And how your face lights up, When you talk about her.

I wish that maybe, Just maybe,

Your face will light up for me, When you think of the memories, That time created.

And I realized,

That no matter what,

Even if you leave my side, I'll never leave yours.

And as I read over, The things you wrote, I realized.

That I've fallen.

These days,

I have this fear,

That you'll let me go, You'll get tired,

Of my insecurities, And me.

You'll leave.

And even though, You'll be there, Right in front of me,

I'd have lost the courage, To look into your eyes.

Like I used to,

The way I loved to.

That's my biggest fear, That I won't be able to, Uncover what you feel.

And I'm at a loss for words, When I realize,

How attached I've become, To your smile and your laugh. And this place beside you, That feels like home.
