Seasons And You

In a silently loud world

There’s melody.

Like the touch of warmth on a march afternoon,

Invisible to the eyes yet spreading through your bones.

In a cold and crowded world

There’s love.

You give up your sight, remembering that cold December night.

How you crawled back from the darkness, holding on to your lover tight.

In a hauntingly dark world

There’s light.

You can feel it washing away your pain, like a flower in August rain.

Revealing those beautiful colors, never to leave you with dirt again.

In a dirty gray world

There’s sky.

Now you feel yourself flying away, with your heart at ease.

Like a fallen leaf still chasing the heights, on a September breeze.
