Sea shore sadness

The sky seems less blue

and the trees have lost their green.

I’ve become hollow without you,

a mere shell of the man I had been.

Birds sing morbid songs of despair

and the wind whispers terrible things.

Wretched is the warm summer air

and the misery that it brings.

I endure the suffering of each day,

hoping that I’ll find you next to the sea.

We’ll follow the coast and walk away,

to that place that we’ll never see.

Wait for me my love, on the ocean floor,

till that day that I knock on your door.
