Sea Of Love
By Shriya Srinivasan
The sea sings happily with its waves gently caressing the rocks
Just as he was , with his hands on mine
I watched the waves as I felt him slowly carve words on my palms
He wrote the love I felt in the depths of my heart
I flushed pink and looked down in to his eyes
Which had more depth than the sea before me
I swam in them taking in the adoration
While searching in the depths if I was worthy of them
So much love , such a love for me?
Was I human that worthy?
I was in the depths of his desire but lost in thought
Where will i put all the love for him that I got?
I ponder if he will throw it away in the sea, cutting my heart into bits
After Which I'll freeze as the world shifts
I'll be paralysed with his love in my body
I cant keep it or give it to nobody
I can build a sea of tears and float with my pain
But nothing will take me to my gain
I can survive without the heart with me
But how will I live when my soul is he?
The sea sings in melancholy as the waves hit the rocks
I look down at him with words that cannot escape my throat
He immediately understands my fear and smiles
He slowly gets up and touches my face
He says no words but I lock with his eyes
It pulls me out of my sea of endlessly worry and doubt
Holds me tight and hugs me warm
While gently stroking my head and whispering
You're love is all I have now in this world to be.
It is all I want all I'll ever want to see
I let my tears flow down my cheeks
While I kiss him with all I got
I know here is my man, worthy of all my love.
