Scorching SOS from Eco-warriors

So often the warnings were told,

Yet greed made the reckless world bold.

They loosed the poison into the skies,

Ignoring the truth and the wise.

The counsel of sages dismissed,

Led us to peril we can’t resist.

Now shadows of danger ignite,

A storm ever looming in sight.

Green lands once vibrant and grand,

Now fade into deserts of sand.

Scorched by the cruel greenhouse radiation,

They crumble in waves of devastation.

Sea creatures wander, displaced and lost,

Paying the climate’s relentless cost.

Melting seas unravel their home,

As polar bears, seals, and fish stocks roam.

Glaciers once silent now roar,

Racing through seas to the shore.

They shatter the cities with might,

Unleashing disasters in sight.

Our Earth, once a haven of grace,

Now burns in a fiery embrace.

This monstrous warming ascends,

A warning the planet defends.

O people who walk on this earth,

Awaken to truth of its worth.

The noxious clouds that rise and grow,

Will hasten the end we all know.

Let life in its fullness survive,

So humankind still may thrive.

Restore the seas, the forests, the streams,

And mend the wreck of reckless dreams.

O leaders who govern the lands,

Go green with united hands.

Guard nature’s treasures with care,

And show the world you dare.

Let wind and the sun be our guide,

With rivers that power our stride.

Turn from the carbon’s dark reign,

And let green warriors sustain.
