Scales

Wave tides as crystal, wave tide as turbid, What difference does it make when both coexist? Raging skies as loud, humid skies as steady, What difference does it make when both persist?

Where there is virtue, where there is vice, Who’s to say which is which, and who decides? Within virtue lies vice, within vice lies virtue, One can be of both, no matter how one hides.

Ye mix of both – in ugliness and grace, Labeling leads to conflict amongst our kind; Yet rawness bleeds us humane, face to face, As earthlings learn, reach and redefine.

As Athena’s scale weigh virtue against vice, Choose thy cup, for both come at a great price.
