Sadness

Sadness can turn glowing eyes into dead ones, pinned on the clock staring long and long trying to get through time. The second needle moves from one tick to another, like falling heartbeat synchronized with the pattering tears.

Perhaps, in the end; it’s the heaviness in the air which makes the time move so slowly. The small hour needle denotes the tiny pinching roughness of the atmosphere and most importantly it represents pain; that is extremely harsh and chaotic. There isn’t any serenity in time. As quoted by Rabindranath Tagore, “A clock is merely a parody of time”. A clock shows the collapsing blood veins turning into ashes, but most importantly it shows, deep; extremely deep and significant SADNESS.
