Roots and Reverence

The couth, the dignity and the respect for the origin,

The rich, archaic and precious culture preserved by the kin,

It's a pain when you realise how some have

forgot the roots,

And in vain they try to fit into other's vanity boots.

A royal culture which our lineage has gifted, followers are very few,

Do not mindlessly throw away the pride on which you grew.

Other's wear you may ape, not aware of the poise,

Their language you may learn, but what about the voice?

Be aware of the legion culture before you forsake,

As your own root culture may get overshadowed by the fake.

The new arrivals may get celebrated in diverse, and the deaths deeply grieved,

Our own religion and rites are precious to be kept and believed.

Get others driven with respect towards your rich roots,

Regain the riches and the values, and prevent the loot.

Wealth have been looted in past but couldn't steal the rich culture,

Shine with the colours gifted, with a heritage so pure.

Be a global soul with an art to justify the beliefs,

Be a leader and guard the lost culture leaving no grief.

Keep the beauty within the traditions and the archival,

Stick to your valued roots, no need of culture vultures.
