Rooh Ke Alfaaz

Kuch soch ke ek alfaaz likhun,

Dil ke mehfooz jazbaat likhun?

Likhun main apna ye haal-e-jigar,

Ya bebas sa koi halaat likhun?

Tere ishq ko rooh ka saaz likhun,

Ya haathon mein tera haath likhun?

Tujhe dekh ke thamti saanson se,

Ehsas-e-wafa ki shuruaat likhun?

Tujhe samne rakh kar aaine sa,

Tere husn ko apni aayat likhun?

Tujhe poojne ki main hadd likhun,

Ya ishq ki yeh ziyaadat likhun?

Tere aks mein khud ko aabaad likhun,

Ya tanhayi mein khud ko barbaad likhun?

Tujhe noor se dipti sehar likhun,

Ya khud ko viran raat likhun?

Tu hi bata ae jaan-e-ghazal,

Aaj kagaz pe kaun si baat likhun?

Har lafz mein tera naam likhun,

Ya bas iss ishq ka aakhri anjam likhun?
