River Of Love

Near a flowing river, we found peace

The gentle sound of water brought release

Our hearts entwined in eternal love

Beneath the skies and the stars above

We laughed and played, happy and free

As the river flowed on endlessly

With each passing moment, our love grew

Stronger than the currents that rushed through

We promised to love each other forever

To cherish, protect and leave never

And so, we lay by the river's edge

Our love a flame that would never fledge

As the moon rose high in the sky

We held each other and let out a sigh

For we knew that our love was true

And that the river would always renew

So, we stayed there, by the river's side

In each other's arms, we could confide

For in that moment, nothing else mattered

As our love by the river forever prospered.
