Off to make the world efficient?

Off to reduce the social gaps?

You might as well be sure to

Wake people from classed-education naps,

To remind them of the equity

That prevails right under their hats.

Are they scared of being overtaken?

By what they call the beggared?

Or is it that the underestimate

A book in the hands of a girl not treasured?

Either one, they have not the rights

To judge the socially daggered.

The question is, will your appeal,

Bring the poorly out of the weed?

Will a single say

Bring up the lead?

Or will it take a million more

To ratify the equal right to read?
