Resonance of a Shadow

Did I say I miss you enough?

The memory of your scent that I’ll always call home And though a time may come when my mind will forget, I know that my heart never will.

Did I say I love you enough?

For when God said “unconditional,” It perfectly embodies you. For every time, I know you’ll always have my back, And it’s one of my greatest comforts in this world, knowing that I have you.

Did I say things that I mean to?

Sometimes I worry I may never be as strong as you, Or that I may not be as wise as you. I may not be as kind as you are, Or be able to sacrifice as much as you. I don't know if I can encourage as much as you do, Or teach with patience just like you. I don’t think I’m giving as much as you told me I can, Or if I’m doing things just as you say. I don’t know if I can share love as plenty as you do, Or if I’m even half the woman that you are. But I know many of the things I know and can do now-I learned them from you.
