Reminisce

Everywhere I go I am reminded

In chapels where the lights get painted

In the streets where the signs tell you to go

In the hallways with doors left unopened

Your eyes

When leaves split the sun into green

When the hurricane brings the breeze over the sea

In the reflection of dew on the stills

Your laugh

In the beat of the cars that fly by

The buzzing of the bees and birds in the sky

As my train reaches the end of the line

Your scent

In the cool of the pillow where I lay

Where your jacket stained on the whole day

On my finger, gently it lingers

Your lips

Like waves seen from a vantage point

Ever shimmering and swaying

A refreshment wishing and waning

Everywhere I am reminded

I am carrying the weight of the world in my pocket

In my wallet

In my photos of you and me

I see chapels wherever we will be
