Reflection of Life

The ball-bat duel:

life’s reflection.

The red cherry

On a bright morning

Bending, dipping,

Swerving, swinging

Cutting, seaming,

Beating the poor soul all ends up.

Down, not out,

Struggling, still surviving.

Suddenly, the purple patch

Balls streaking to the boundary

Fielders running amok

Handshakes all round

A standing ovation

The milestone reached

A good job done.

Downs and ups

Ups and downs.

Patience, perseverance, plight

Life’s reflection? Right?
