Until my limbs grow frail and hair turns grey,

Must I deny my flesh each day?

Every morning, temptation waits, Until bones decay and skin stripped away, Must I deny my flesh each day?

To surface with sinister smiles,

Desperately awaiting my trials,

To lead me astray, so I won't see his way. Like a rose with hidden thorns,

But this facade makes it clear:

I must not go near.

Until dust returned will I deny my flesh For this earthly body will not sustain, This spirits hunger for only one desire- The blood that bought my life.
