Realization

I realized something,

I am not living, just existing.

counting days instead of

making memories.

The nights grow longer,

yet sleep never seems to stay.

Thought wander where they shouldn’t, finding their way back to you.

Some wounds do not bleed,

They simply linger in silence.

Hidden behind smiles,

No one looks close enough to see.

And as I stand where we once stood. Holding on to what no longer remains. Stream of tears flowed like rain

after a long draught.
