Raven's Eulogy
By Anubhab Maiti
The whistles turned to rages
As the boundless sky removed its freckled aura of night
The lucient cyan transverses through
The gates are open
He skims through the air, a fiery wreath of viciousness
The black streak among the golden aristocrats
The scum, that even he doesn't know why he is called upon
Yes he steals, cuz nobody is ready to share
Yes he invades, cuz nobody wants him near
The struggle that he covers, nobody acknowledges
Yet he provides, doing all the crimes that are charged upon him
And he is never complaining
For he believes, they will know about him oneday
They will cherish his conquests, be afraid to lose him
All he does, he knows someone awaits him
Someone who saw him from inside, without a guilt, without a judgement
Someone who took him to be, to make the better of him
She chose a raven, for a raven that he was
Fearless, undaunting, unadhering
To the norms that others are shakled in
She was his one true freedom
And She will be the speck of light of his ever murky plethora
That chasms his time in this world
