Rampage Of The Beast

Far below the Earth’s crust,

Is a beast in slumber, cloaked with tectonic dust

It is of unknown size and scale,

But its very sight will surely make you pale!

It has been described in ancient legend and folklore,

Some say it has twenty eyes, perhaps even more,

While others speak of its great spear,

That absorbs the souls of any unfortunate enough to be near!

But about a prophecy all state,

That when mankind makes this Earth abate,

The beast shall awaken, with a raging fury,

To correct life, and end us surely!

But, this prophecy has been dismissed,

For people believe that such a fate can never exist!

And yet, they force it to come true,

For we destroy everything that grew!

We chop trees, once mighty and green,

And slay animals, adult or teen,

All this makes the Earth warm and hot,

Not global warming, but the Beast’s growing rage, at the sins and rot!

Finally, the last tree and creature is slain,

And the Beast, overwhelmed with the innocents’ pain,

Rises, patience gone,

For the merciless Humans, and all their wrongs!

His rise disrupts sea and land,

Without context, it might seem grand!

With one foot on America, the other in the Atlantic Ocean,

The Beast lowers his spear, with much emotion!

Dirt, water and metal; All are flung,

With the Humans flying among!

All the human self-made importance and glory,

Ends, and so does a chapter in the Story!

So, dear readers, aged or not,

This end must not be sought!

Stop we must, these unnecessary sins!

Or neither Beast nor mankind wins!
