Raising The Dead

I am blowing the whistle.

It’s time to raise the dead

feelings, left over, uncared for years.

Dreams and hopes strewn like petals

of a flower, crushed.

It’s time to wake up.

September is coming to a close.

The winter months are approaching.

Time to light another big bonfire.

Time for us to re-live that dream.

Open your eyes, listen closely

to the old heart, letting out a war-cry.

Time for one more battle against the odds.

To re-claim our rights

and dreams and hopes.

To re-kindle that passion, we once thrived on.

It’s time to raise the dead…
