Rain in Falling

I wonder, what the first person who saw rain thought?

It might have been more than just a thought.

Maybe a feeling?

Those tiny drops falling one by one,

standing there just taking it all in,

having no idea how to feel.

As more drops fall,

it just gets cold,

and now your whole body is consumed,

unable to move as this is all new.

It's affecting you in ways you never thought possible.

Why is such a simple phenomenon so miraculous?

Your brain's confused which sensory organ to respond to.

The eyes searching for answers.

The ears listening to the drops hitting the ground.

The skin trying to retain the body heat.

All along, the heart, not aware,

and just going with the feeling because even when the temperature dropped,

the heart has never been warmer.

Slowly the rain stopped.

It has never been clearer.

Now it all makes sense as the dust has settled.

They look up and see the most evident sign.

The arch filled with more colors than known,

just like how the rain feels different to all.

I love the rain as it only happens when many things fall in place.

Sometimes everything becomes more unclear after,

but it shall pass,

because in the end this was never really about Rain.
