Rain

The crashing of the waters to the ground

Was loud enough to burst ear drums

It tore umbrellas apart

Only bones remain of them

Yet even I was in the middle of it all

Shivering and wet

I tried to trudge through it all

A flu

A cold

If not home

Then surely I die

Squelch, Squelch, Squelch

There goes my boots in the gaping holes

Cannot miss them if I tried

Roads are just bad and wet

Today is not my lucky day

Vroom Vroom stop

‘Come in’ he say

A man in the vehicle

He seem to be my neighbor

My neighbor my Saviour

Squelch, Squelch sneeze

Already sick

But safe and sound

Though the winds howl and breeze blows

I’ll be safe indeed at home
