Queen

By Devika Bhattacharya

Neon lights, glowing glitters, Fool's gold, still appears attractive. Sultry eyes, heat filled voice, Toxic maybe but seductive. Loud stares, silent hearts, Unnecessary judgements, but hey, Welcome people to society.

Oh and here she enters, High spread wings of bold colours, They exclaim, 'She is so dramatic' Still enthralled, captured by her unique beauty, They follow trying to pry into nothing but her hidden vulnerability. Sun at the horizon, Curiosity grows, their tension palpable. Waiting for a glimpse of her face in the fading light, Not realising they were trapped within the Queen of the Night.
