Purple to Me

In the wilderness of colours

When a violent red and calm blue

Form together a purple hue

Is born the end of the rainbow

But the beginning of trust

It shoots like an arrow

And blows away the hatred rust.

A tint of white, a lavender flower

At the night falls of a shading branch

A shade of black

A pale mauve

Rests with the sunset, staying long.

Of all the colours, my eyes on purple

For I see my cheerful smile replace a painful cry.

From deep in the ocean

To blending with the sky.

The distance it creates

Is where many live by.
