Proudly, Me

felt guilty back in the day

for not wanting to spring by the seashore

where everyone bounced around

over time it got easy, assuring myself

sitting under the cool rocks behind

provided just the right warmth to me

felt guilty back in the day

for wanting to paint the sky with glitters of red

while everyone drew the sky blue.

Over time it got easy, ensuring myself

the urge to create that radiance of dawn

gave a unique voice to me

felt guilty back in the day

for not desiring to dance to forte

while the peers hopped to the loud beats

over time it got easy, telling myself

smiling, cheering and snacking from aside

gave just the right laughs to me

felt guilty back in the day

for not wanting to hustle and battle, every second

like everyone did to make it big

over time it got easy, promising myself

a moment around hills, a walk through farms

gave just the right breather to me

felt sorry back in the day

for not fancying the idea of life

a large crowd had exemplified

over time it got easy, persuading myself

being true to my heart

provided just the right delight to me
