Promises

She made promises,

they did too.

But tell me honestly,

Was it ever meant to be true?

People break them all the time

Saying that “Promises are meant to be broken”

And the sadness is never heard

Even when they are loudly spoken

I try really hard,

It hurts, cant you feel?

Cant you see, that promises

They are meant to be real

Each promise, someone breaks

It hurts right in my heart

Each promise someone breaks

It tears me apart

If you make a promise

Remember to keep it

And if you know you can’t

Then just don’t commit
