Project

I’m, a mechanic.

A fixer upper.

A reincarnation of Bob the builder.

I find cracks

I find bruises

I find rubble

And mend it back together.

I am a magnet of Humpty Dumpty

Carrying glue in my pocket

Ready to them all.

I mistake myself for all the king’s horses

And think I can put them back together

Again, All by myself

But never realise how

I take their pain and give them my joy

Now, I’m a mountain of hurt

And a cracked mirror that’s

Unrecognisable

I complain about never being first choice to others

When I’m not even first choice for myself

I neglect my feelings for others

So they can heal

But never take time for myself

Now I’m stuck with a gorge in my heart

That is hard to patch up

Especially when I’m afraid to confront

Any of my own… feelings.
