1.One of the most ambitious individuals seem to procrastinate their assigned works because they have set their bars of expectations so high that they in turn result in procrastinating the work, finding themselves inefficient.
This somehow leads them to get knocked down by their own thoughts and mechanisms.
2.Human minds are wired chasing some sort of symmetry in nature of any task. But little do we know, attaining perfectionism without even getting started is inconceivable.
We wait for the right time, right place, better environment, that's nothing but an absurd thought to halt and cease the given task because you don't feel ready enough while chasing symmetry.
Even I am one of such people. Sometimes, I just feel I have the eyes for vision but not functioning arms and legs to give a successful cease to my missions and aims.
3.Escapism
We are always in search of finding things more pleasing for our eyes . Fake dopamine like reels, alcohol, drugs, binge scrolling, unhealthy processed food etc have made things even worse. It gets you into the loop of superficial dopamine hits, which tricks your brain by giving it a pleasant feel even when you haven't had your first few steps towards your tasks.
4.Shifting ambitions due to knowledge about too many fields, numerous options and uncountable possibilities leads people bewildered between the career choices.
Especially, the people who get easily manipulated, they keep shifting ambitions even after a small setback.
5.Irregulated emotional responses
The individuals who are always high on the emotional spectrum often seem to procrastinate a lot. One moment they are extremely positive and the other moment they lose their minds getting into the loop of insecurities, lack of self worth and negativity.
But what we need to learn is the art of balancing, because excess of anything , be it ingredients in a dish or human emotions, excess of anything tend to destroy the final result.
At the end I would say, learn the balance and achieve the flow. It's the best way to attain a successful completion in your task.
I have done all sorts of such procrastination and even more. For example- I am typing this 7 minutes before the deadline. But in the process of writing this I have learnt and understood more about myself than before. To those who are reading -Let's get better together.
