Princess of Duchess
By Kunal Grover
What if I ever fall in love ?
Would I be your picture; the prince on his horse ?
Towards you the prince approaches
Would you be my one ‘Princess of Duchess’ ?
To descend, I jump off the horse
In a moment I landed on the soft grass
My deep blue eyes talking to you in your head
Whilst we talk in silence, the leaves of the trees shed
Not a single word I will utter
Until minutes pass by looking at one another
It takes us one car honk to come back to reality
If it were not that interruption we would gaze till eternity
Taking your hand, greeting you ‘Madamosaille’ I kiss on them
I can feel the magic in the air, my heart underwent enchantment
I give you a hand to sit on the horse
I take the leash and walk you through the garden’s concourse
Quietly walking you, plenty of time, we don’t need to rush
But when our eyes lay on each other, we both do blush
The sun is setting, time to us doesn’t bother
Crossing the forest and about time, the snow showers
At the pond we stop to feed the horse some water
I take off my coat put it on you, now that I have found you the chill in the air doesn’t matter
On our way about to cross the forest
I ignite the lantern, its past sunset
She doesn’t know whats waiting for her
As soon as the bushes we cross, a castle uncovers
I take her down the horse, she has no idea what all this is about
On the porch there are violinists ready to play, I just have to command and shout
Once I do, I see the look on her face
So shocked, her face turns to a true beauty which all i wanted to gaze
With each step on the stairs proceeding
We both skip a heart beat, but we are still breathing
The doorman opens the gates made of glass
We enter the palace, there’s a ball ready, I say lets give each other a chance
We never know if this would or wouldn’t last,
But I hope after this ball, once again we do cross our paths
I hold her around her waist, she lay her hand on my shoulder
Forgetting all our insecurities, we dance blissfully under the crystal chandelier
We both know in our hearts, we are worthy for each other
To lord I wish after this ball, we really become one another’s
For when my alarm rings and I’m awake, I see the sunrise
I will wish that this dream one day becomes the reality of my life!
