Price Paid

Long unflinching nights, kept me at bay,

Pure soul as collateral, to sanity and say,

Bear in mind, conflict was not of my doings,

Yet the price, paid with pain and sufferings.

How strikingly beautiful was my life once!

An innocent farsighted trance through lens,

To the perfection for my future, those lens ceased to be,

But the child version was far happier than the present me.
