We’re all survivors in this

holy world that no one could build,

Because somebody decided,

some had to die and rest had to live.

We are soldiers,

Some are trained and some cannot kill,

We’re the same but in different places at war!

Where the sound of the prayers keep us warm,

We take comfort in the words even if we hold a gun!

What kind of a behaviour is this?

We’re so used to looking down on the world.

No matter how many lives we give

the war will be looking for more!

And we think we’ve been protecting

our children or the ones that we love,

But we are nothing but blinded

From seeing what we share below and above;

It’s amazing how small I feel just by looking up.

No movement, too weak to even cry

somewhere, very ill, with a mother there is a child.

Here we are checking the right boxes,

tempted, but just wanting to live a life;

Even the soldier at the border who is thinking of his wife,

Or those documenting the chaos of life,

How nice would it be to have a friend without a price,

In a world without holy lies!

What kind of a behaviour is this?

In a market we’re looking for a stone;

Since we can’t keep our minds off the diamonds,

We miss all the precious lesser knowns;

Which might be the sound of a laughter

of a child whose life we helped save,

To be defined as a beautiful world

We’ll have to repair our mistakes;

Its amazing how simply we breathe and

how it has kept us alive.

Now I see there’s no good and bad.

Life is just joy and misery.

To becoming a human from acting like one,

Is the biggest change I’m discovering.
