1. Poem in Gujarati

નિત નિત નવા રંગો બદલે, આ માણસ મજાનો છે,

આજે કહે કંઈક, કાલે કરે કંઈક જુદું,

આજે સાંભળે કંઈક, કાલે બોલે કંઈક જુદું.

ક્યારેક ઉભરાઈ આવે પ્રેમ એને બીજાં પર,

ક્યારેક ઉભરાઈ આવે વેર એને બીજાં પર.

ક્યારેક ભાવનાઓના વંટોળમાં ખોવાતો,

ક્યારેક પોતાના મન ના ઊંડાણમાં ડૂબતો.

એ તો એક રહસ્ય સમાન છે, જેને ઉકેલવું સરળ નથી,

એના મનને ઓળખવું , એને સમજવું સરળ નથી,

પણ સમજવા કરતાં માણશો તો ખરેખર, આ માણસ મજાનો છે,

નિત નિત નવા રંગો બદલે, આ માણસ મજાનો છે.

2. Short Story

A few days ago, I visited a temple.

After finishing my prayers, I stepped aside. Just then, a little boy, maybe five - six years old, walked up to the God. He folded his small hands and said softly,

"Dear God, please make my mother get well soon."

I looked beside him and saw his mother. She was standing quietly with a neck brace on, and only then did I realize why he had prayed with such sincerity.

It made me think.

So many prayers are said every day, not for ourselves, but for someone else. A child praying for his mother. A mother praying for her child.

Someone, somewhere, whispering a silent prayer for another soul.

Maybe that's what keeps us going, not big gestures, just quiet love, carried in silent prayers.

Maybe we all are saving each other.

3. When my maternal aunt passed away, I felt…..

તમારી પાસે મોટા થવું એટલે રોજ ખુશ રહેવાનું બહાનું મળી જવું ; ફુગ્ગાવાળો ઘરની બહાર દેખાય ને તમે રોજ એક ફુગ્ગો અપાવી જ દો, જાણે ઓ રોજનો નિયમ હોય.

બુલેટ પર બેસીને તમારી સાથે બહાર ફરવાનું હોય, જન્માષ્ટમીના મેળામાં ભીડમાં તમારો હાથ પકડી રાખવાનો હોય, ઘરે પકોડા પાર્ટી જામી હોય કે પછી મમરાની ભેળ બનતી હોય, કે ગામમાં ખરીદી માટે નીકળવાનું હોય ,દરેક જગ્યાએ તમે હતાં, ને એટલે જ એ બધું યાદગાર બની ગયું.

પણ હવે એ પકોડા અને ભેળ નો સ્વાદ પહલા જેવો નથી રહ્યો અને અમારા માટે રોજ તમારા નામ ની વાગતી ફોનની રિંગ પણ કાયમ માટે બંધ થઈ ગઈ છે..

સમય થોડો કદાચ ના ઘારેલો વધારે ઝડપથી બદલાયો, પણ મામી તમારા હોવાનો અહેસાસ હજી એટલો જ જીવંત છે. ઘરમાં, દરેક ખૂણે, તમારા હોવાના ભણકારા બનીને…
