In the realm of science and space,

Where theories and equations embrace,

There lies a subject that's hard to replace,

The study of matter, energy, and space.

Physics is the language of the universe,

Explaining the laws that we observe,

From the tiniest particles we can't see,

To the vast cosmos and everything in between.

At its core, physics is about understanding,

How the world around us is expanding,

From the motion of a falling apple,

To the force of a rocket's propelling throttle.

Energy and matter are two sides of a coin,

Transforming from one to the other with a join,

The laws of thermodynamics explain,

How energy is conserved through every gain.

Gravity is a force we can't escape,

It governs the motion of celestial shapes,

It's the reason why the moon orbits the earth,

And why the planets align in a certain girth.

The theory of relativity, an Einsteinian feat,

Revolutionized the way we think and treat,

Time, space, and matter in the universe,

Opening doors to new discoveries, diverse.

Quantum mechanics, a world of the small,

Where particles behave in a way so tall,

A world of uncertainty, probability, and chance,

Where the classical laws of physics lose their stance.

Physics is a subject that inspires awe,

For its beauty and complexity, we stand in awe,

It's a journey of discovery, of what we know,

And what we're yet to learn, and how we grow.
