Phantom Kisses

With words, as they are whispered

Honeyed - sweet and sour

And your smile, perfectly pictured

And growing by the hour.

With the accidental brushes, scorching

Of fevered skin against skin

And shamefully rosy blushes, torching

The feelings hidden within.

With the flutter of your lashes

As your eyes map out my face

And the lack of subtlety in your lapses

As on my lips settles your gaze.

These are the ways our souls bind.

And silently braid into one.

And though your lips have never touched mine

We have kissed, in more ways, than one.
