Perfection
By Raaima Damania
Our aim is to be perfect.
Our flaws we have to overcome.
This weight we put on ourselves.
But is it really possible?
And who determines our flaws?
Who has the right to judge?
Perfection means flawlessness.
But who gave this definition?
Why can’t it just be natural?
Instead of being so impractical.
Such an unrealistic goal we chase.
Stress our lives with this overwhelming aim.
Isn’t happiness what we all actually need?
Then why don’t we just accept ourselves.
If we become perfect, then aren’t we gods?
And if gods are perfect, then shouldn’t we be too?
From birth we come with a purpose.
That we are naturally built to fulfill.
Just have some faith in the universe.
Accept yourself, understand your needs.
You’re just the way you have to be.
Because for your destiny,
You are nothing but perfect.
What you already are, can’t be your aim.
So, find the right goal – the right destination.
And your route will be more fun than a struggle.
Everything will just appear beautiful.
And your flaws will somehow feel – just perfect!
