Perfect Smile

There he goes with his perfect smile,

I know that it is fake; have known for a while.

That bright smile and those shining eyes

Hide all the sadness with tears as price.

He loves, he cares, he lies and denies,

He laughs out loud to hide his cries.

Heaven knows and the hell sees

The pain he suffers,

It is unfair it has to be.

I see him now, I see him clear

He might break that’s all I fear.

I reach out to him to, at least, do something,

And all I see is his eyes screaming.

I step back; it is too much for me

Because the face I see, is the one like me.

For when I look in the mirror, it’s the same smile

The same eyes,

And that’s when a little inside me dies.

Please, oh please….help me!

Help this poor little boy that goes by,

The boy that denies;

The boy that has perfect smiles…
