Perfect

Perfect she goes, head turner as they say,

Every beauty pageant title she takes away,

But the family albums till age twelve misses pages,

Her three meals a day misses two stages.

Perfect he goes, earning figures in seven,

Vacations in Dubai, but works till eleven,

The alcohol helps stress, the girls to sleep,

Got people to party with, but alone he weeps.

Perfect they go, Mr and Mrs Kaushik,

Son works at Canada, daughter at Paris,

Three storeyed house, with just the two to fill,

Birthdays spent on zoom; with grandkids they haven't met still.

Perfect she goes, an "A" grader throughout,

"Its always been easy for her", everybody mouths,

But she wishes she lived and laughed sometimes instead,

Learnt about all but life, for the time gone she keeps regrets.

Perfect he goes, the hero guy, every girl eyes,

Checks all the boxes right, but the exes speak otherwise,

Toxicity drains out of him like overflowing river,

Parents fought all life; he tries to force a contrary picture.
